Recently, we linked to three different chargeback and dispute management tools across our most-read guides. These weren’t paid shoutouts. They were genuine recommendations based on the problems those tools claim to solve.

Then we stepped back and let the data do the talking.

After 2,703 clicks and months of observations, one tool clearly rose to the top (not because of flashy marketing or a generous affiliate payout, but because it earned the most trust and delivered real results). Find out exactly what we learned.

What 2,703 Sellers Taught Us About These Chargeback Tools

We didn’t rely on opinions. We let the numbers guide us. Here’s what we learned from real seller behavior.

41% of sellers who explored chargeback tools across our channels clicked through to learn more about Chargeflow, and it accounted for two-thirds of all installs in this group. Paltrack came close in interest, with 37% of total clicks, but led to only half as many installs (one-third of the total). Disputifier garnered 21% of the clicks, but none of those sellers went on to install it. So while it drew some curiosity, it didn’t convert into actual use.

Sellers aren’t just curious about chargeback tools. They’re choosing solutions that feel proven and low-risk. Chargeflow’s “only pay if you win” model and full automation made it the clear favorite, while tools with benefits that may seem more vague or extra setup may struggle more to earn trust.

But, this still doesn’t tell us which tools actually saved sellers money. So, we also sampled some of the financial data to estimate how much stores may have actually saved using Chargeflow and Paltrack. 

So, How Much Did Chargeback Tools Save Sellers We Referred? 

We tracked how 2,703 sellers interacted with three chargeback tools—what they clicked, which tools they installed, and how much they spent.

For Chargeflow, we had access to real recovery data, so the $489.52 figure reflects the average amount saved per install based on actual results.

For Paltrack, which runs on a $9.99/month subscription model, we didn’t have access to direct recovery numbers. Instead, we estimated savings based on how long sellers kept their subscriptions (over a year, in most cases). While we can’t pinpoint exact ROI, we estimate ~$300 per install as a conservative value based on likely dispute prevention over time. 

Disputifier didn’t lead to any installs in our dataset, so it’s not included in this comparison.

⚠️ Where Our Numbers Fall Short

We stand by what we share, and we value complete transparency. While these estimates offer a helpful snapshot, they aren’t perfect. 

Here’s why:

  • Chargeflow only charges when you win a dispute, while Paltrack runs on a monthly subscription; this makes direct comparisons tricky. 
  • We didn’t see any installs for Disputifier from our referrals, so we couldn’t evaluate performance, despite their promise of a 230% win rate across all channels.
  • We don’t know how many disputes each seller faced, so per-install savings are broad estimates.
  • Because we value privacy, we only see when someone clicks or installs, not whether they stuck with the tool, recovered revenue, or churned later.

These findings still give a useful directional view, but they’re best interpreted as insight, not gospel.

Conclusion: Chargeflow Emerged as the Smart Bet

We set out to observe (not to predict) which chargeback tools sellers would actually explore, trust, and stick with. And while three tools caught attention, only one consistently earned installs and showed clear financial upside.

Chargeflow stood out. And, this isn’t because it paid us more (it actually has the lowest commission rate of all of our chargeback tool partners). We think it’s because it offered the lowest risk, the least friction, and the highest potential reward. 

It seems like sellers especially love that they can try it with no upfront cost and let the tool prove itself through performance. So far, they tend to stick with it. 

Paltrack proved useful for PayPal-focused sellers, even if results were harder to track. Disputifier didn’t convert, suggesting sellers might prefer more automated, plug-and-play tools right now.
